Ajaz Ahmed, former CEO of WPP-owned creative agency AKQA, has announced the launch of Studio.One.

Expressing excitement about the new venture, Ahmed stated that the time for new dreams is nearly here. As per media reports, Studio. One, will launch on May 1 with other former AKQA employees, including Ron Peterson and Johnny Budden.

The start of the new venture comes months after Ahmed’s resignation from AKQA in October 2024, followed by the departure of several senior executives from the agency.

Here's his LinkedIn post:

AKQA was founded in London in 1994 and expanded internationally in 2001. In 2012, AKQA was sold to WPP in one of the biggest acquisitions of a digital agency at the time. Following the announcement, his long-time business partner and co-founder of AKQA Ajaz Ahmed assumed the role of CEO, with Tom becoming Chairman of AKQA.
