Johnny Budden, Global Chief Creative Officer of AKQA, has announced that he is moving on from the company. In a LinkedIn post, he reflected on his journey at AKQA and said that he experienced life changing moments I could never have imagined.

At AKQA, Budden collaborated with some of the best inventors, experimental developers, bravest strategists and inquisitive minds who are determined to do things differently. Driven by imagination and through thoughtful, heart-felt work, he worked with people who shared the same ambition to do things that might never have been done before.

“As I resign from my role as Global Chief Creative Officer at AKQA, it feels like a moment of quiet reflection—an interlude before turning everything I’ve learned on this journey into something meaningful. Leaving isn’t easy, but I do so with immense pride in my heart for what we’ve crafted together as a team”, he said in his LinkedIn post.

Having spent nearly a decade with AKQA, Johnny’s roles have spanned Artistic Director to Group Creative Director. Subsequently, he has played a vital role in cultivating the creative strategies of the world’s best brands.
