Reporter’s Diary: Festival time again

All eyes are on Cannes Lions 2012, which gets underway from June 17. With 1,182 entries, India has a fairly good representation at the advertising festival. How many will win laurels and Lions will be revealed over the course of next one week.

What’s also noteworthy is the increasing number of Indian ad men and women on various Cannes Juries.

As in the previous years, exchange4media is all geared to provide complete coverage of the seminars, workshops, interactions and of course, the Awards, directly from the place of action at Cannes Lions.

This year, the advertising festival comes amid tough economic conditions in Europe. One wonders how much this slowdown will impact ad spends, agency revenues, corporate bottomlines. It will be interesting to see it the mood is a bit muted at Cannes or there is a fresh surge of optimism in the air.
