DoorDash has appointed WPP Media as its first-ever global media partner, expanding the agency’s existing relationship with the delivery platform across the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand to more than 40 markets worldwide.

The mandate will cover DoorDash’s portfolio of on-demand delivery brands, including DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt. The expanded partnership will come into effect in early 2027.

The appointment follows a competitive review of DoorDash’s agency partnerships. WPP Media was selected for its end-to-end capabilities across data, technology and measurement, its understanding of complex global markets, and its track record as a growth partner.

Under the expanded remit, WPP Media will work alongside the in-house media and marketing teams of DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt, with the agency bringing together global strategy while retaining market-level nuances.

“The team behind this partnership represents some of the most talented media professionals in our industry. Earning DoorDash’s trust to expand our relationship is a testament to the exceptional quality of work they’ve delivered over the last eight years and will continue to deliver going forward. We are enormously excited for what we’ll achieve together,” said Nancy Hall, U.S. CEO, WPP Media.

The partnership builds on an eight-year relationship between WPP Media and DoorDash. The agency has worked with DoorDash from its pre-IPO stage, supporting its national media campaigns and subsequent expansion across restaurant delivery, grocery, convenience and retail.

“As our brand has expanded globally, we’ve evolved to meet the moment in every way, including how we approach media. WPP has been our partner for DoorDash across the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and we’ve seen firsthand what they can do at scale. We’re excited to expand that partnership across DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt, ensuring we operate with a unified strategy globally, without losing the nuance that makes each market’s approach unique and locally relevant”, said  Tim Castree, Chief Marketing Officer, DoorDash

“We’re proud of the trust DoorDash is placing in us to continue accelerating their growth. Combining our global scale and local expertise with an operating model built around DoorDash’s own data and proprietary intelligence and delivered through WPP Open and Open Intelligence will help DoorDash move faster, understand consumers better, and drive measurable, incremental growth in every market,” said Brian Lesser, CEO, WPP Media

WPP Media has also been behind campaigns for DoorDash that have received recognition at Cannes Lions, Effies, Adweek and other industry platforms.
