LOM Worldwide, a creative, branding, and digital advertising agency headquartered in Gurugram, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Chandana Agarwal and Akashneel Dasgupta as Managing Partners, as the independent agency looks to expand its scale, capabilities and client relationships.
Previously, Agarwal had a 15-year stint at the Ogilvy Group, including 7 years at 82.5 Communications, where she most recently served as President for North and East. Reflecting on her journey at 82.5 Communications and sharing what drove her move, Agarwal said, “My stint with 82.5 Communications at Ogilvy turned out to be more than another chapter in my advertising career. It gave me a chance to experience a different kind of agency, work with entrepreneurial teams, see how digital-first thinking is changing the business, and, importantly, think about what I wanted to do next.”
“Now I know,” she remarked, adding, “I am very happy to share that I am joining LOM Worldwide as Managing Partner. What excites me about LOM is its ambition to grow in size and scale and the opportunity to be part of building that next phase. I want to build again. Build new practices. Build deeper client engagements. Build new capabilities. Build greater scale. I am looking forward to building that practice at LOM, alongside the many other opportunities that lie ahead. After 27 years in large network agencies, perhaps the most exciting thing about the next chapter is this, I don't just want to work in an agency. I want to help build one.”
Agarwal further said that she is delighted that Akashneel Dasgupta is also joining LOM as the Managing Partner, alongside her. Before joining LOM, Dasgupta has held leadership positions across agencies in creative and strategic planning functions. He has previously served as the Chief Creative Officer at BBDO, ADK Fortune and Network Advertising. During his tenure at ADK Fortune, he was instrumental in driving considerable growth for the agency.
On joining LOM, Dasgupta said, “I have had various stints in agencies of all kinds but what gave me the biggest joy always, was being a part of building a place, be it business or culture. Some of the best years that I have spent in my career were while building ADK Fortune. I am joining LOM as a Managing Partner to start yet another journey in building a new-age agency that is suited to the client and industry demands of today, which have changed drastically. I am happy to partner with Chandana and Krittika in this endeavor.”
Along with focusing on driving the next phase of growth for LOM Worldwide, Agarwal and Dasgupta will also start and build a Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) practice for existing and new clients. “AI is changing not just how brands communicate, but how people discover, evaluate and choose them. I believe agencies have an important role to play in helping brands become not just visible, but credible, relevant and recommendable in an AI-mediated world,” Agarwal said.
Krittika Marwaha, Founder of LOM Worldwide said, “I strongly believe it is time for a mid-sized agency to bring back what the best of Indian advertising was once famous for—sharp insights, original ideas and work that leaves a mark. The difference today is that technology has fundamentally changed the playing field. Capabilities that once belonged only to large agencies are now accessible to everyone. What creates the advantage is knowing how to use them. At LOM Worldwide, we are bringing together the judgement and experience of people who have built some of the industry’s most impactful work, the hunger and energy of a new generation, and technology that allows us to move faster and think differently. It gives us the best of both worlds—experience without baggage, technology without losing the human instinct, and agility without compromising on ambition.”
She further expressed her belief that this combination can create a different kind of agency, one where the right people are closer to the work, decisions happen faster and ideas have the freedom to become bigger than the size of the agency.
