The week that has gone has been significant, particularly because of BARC India’s moves towards landing page and the various developments around the upcoming Indian Premier League.

BARC India decides to introduce algorithms to mitigate impact of landing page on viewership data. The new initiative has been taken into account for the Week 34 data, starting August 22.

In some other big news, ASCI has appointed Manisha Kapoor as Secretary General. Kapoor has been part of ASCI’s Consumer Complaints Council for the past five years.
Also, ABP Group’s Aveek Sarkar has been elected PTI Chairman. Sarkar takes over from Vijay Kumar Chopra who is the Chief Editor of Punjab Kesari Group.
