The week that went by was marked with some key moments from the world of advertising and media. 

India is now in its third week of lockdown. Last Sunday, April 5, the nation came together to observe a candlelight vigil. Indian households lit candles, diyas and flashed torches to show solidarity with one another during the COVID-19. 

The previous week saw some key people movements. Bhupendra Chaubey moved on from CNN-News18. He had been associated with the brand since 2005.

 Neeraj Bassi was named Chief Strategy Officer at Havas Group India. He will report to Group CEO Rana Barua.

Network18 also announced some key elevations for its TV and digital arms. Smriti Mehra elevated as COO, Business News Cluster; Preeti Sahni to be COO, Forbes India; Azim Lalani COO, Brand Solutions & Convergence. Sujeet Mishra, Abhinay Chauhan new names in the Group.

 DDB chairman Wendy Clark will be joining Dentsu Aegis Network as Global CEO.

 Sunil Alaric D’Souza has been named MD & CEO of Tata Global Beverages.

 Milind Khandekar is now the Managing Editor of Tak Channels after he announced his departure from BBC India.

 The BARC-Neilson report was launched this week. The return of Ramayan and Mahabharat propelled Doordarshan to the top, making it the most-watched channel across India.
