COVID-19 fight: PM Modi asks citizens to switch off lights for 9 min at 9 pm this Sunday
In a video address on Friday, the PM appealed to the citizens to light candles, lamps or flashlights from their windows or outside their doors for 9 minutes

In the address Modi appealed to the citizens to switch off all lights in their homes and light candles, oil lamps or mobile flashlights from their windows or outside their doors for 9 minutes.
In an earlier address to the nation, the PM had called the country to observe ‘Janta Curfew’, a self-imposed curfew, on March 22 as a show of solidarity for those associated with healthcare, sanitation, law and order and media for contributing their service is these times of crisis, while putting their lives at risk.
