This week saw several high profile people movements, including Publicis Groupe appointment of Anupriya Acharya as Chief Executive Officer, South Asia, while Saurabh Varma, former CEO, South Asia, Publicis Communications, announced that he be starting his own venture.

Also, K Madhavan has been appointed as the new Country Manager of Disney and Star India. The move comes after Sanjay Gupta stepped down from the position to join Google as its new Country Manager and Vice President of Sales and Operations for India last month. OML announced the appointment of Gunjan Arya as its Chief Executive Officer and BBDO India has appointed Priyanka Rishi as General Manager and Executive Vice President to head the Mumbai operations. It was also announced that Ravi Mittal appointed as new Information & Broadcasting Secretary

This week we also learnt of the passing of the 'First lady of Indian Advertising' Tara Sinha

There were also several account wins as Beiersdorf has retained OMD as its media agency of record and Huawei has awarded its India (CBG, Huawei Brand) digital mandate to FoxyMoron.
