ShareChat has announced the appointment of Soumitra Maity as its Head of PR and Communications. In his new role, he will lead the company’s communication strategy, strengthen its brand positioning, and drive stakeholder engagement as ShareChat continues to grow its presence in India’s social media landscape.
Maity brings with him nearly a decade of experience in public relations and communications, having worked with leading agencies and brands across different sectors. Before joining ShareChat, he served as Associate Director at MSL India, where he handled multiple mandates, led large-scale campaigns, and contributed to several award-winning communication strategies.
Moreover, his previous stints include roles at Ruder Finn India, Edelman, BVK Sports, and Artsmith – Concepts & Visions, where he managed communications for clients in sports, lifestyle, and technology.
At ShareChat, he will focus on enhancing the brand’s communication efforts and driving meaningful conversations that connect with audiences across India’s diverse digital ecosystem.
