- Based in London, Wade will report to Amy Messano and collaborate closely with Reuters leadership, including Alessandra Galloni, to enhance the organization's global reputation.
Reuters has appointed Chris Wade as Vice President of Communications, effective July 6, according to an internal announcement shared by Reuters President Paul Bascobert.
In his new role, Wade will lead communications for Reuters globally and serve as a member of the Reuters Executive Committee. He will oversee the company's communications strategy with a particular focus on external communications across both Reuters' editorial and commercial agendas, including brand-building public relations initiatives. All members of the Reuters Communications team will report to him.
Announcing the appointment, Bascobert said, "I'm pleased to announce that Chris Wade will join us on 6th July as our new VP, Reuters Communications."
Wade brings more than 25 years of experience in communications, corporate affairs, and reputation management across global media organizations and businesses. Most recently, he led communications and corporate affairs at WPP. Prior to that, he served as Director of Communications at Guardian Media Group, where he played a key role in shaping the organization's communications strategy and stakeholder engagement efforts.
Based in London, Wade will report to Amy Messano while maintaining a direct partnership and dotted-line accountability to Bascobert. He will also work closely with Alessandra Galloni and the broader Reuters leadership team to support the organization's strategic priorities and strengthen its global reputation.
