Nissan ropes in Lavanya Wadgaonkar as GM & Head, Global Corporate Communications

Nissan has appointed Lavanya Wadgaonkar as General Manager and Head, Global Corporate Communications for Nissan, effective November 1.
She will be based in Japan and report to Sadayuki Hamaguchi, Chief Communications Officer of Nissan.
In her new role, Wadgaonkar will be responsible for strengthening the company’s reputation through executive communication, issues and crisis management, corporate narrative and media relations globally.
She has over 25 years of international experience in strategic communications, public affairs, brand management, marketing and sustainability. Since 2016, Wadgaonkar has led and developed the communications and external and government affairs functions for Nissan Asia and Oceania.
She previously led the corporate communications and sustainability strategy for Nissan in India.
Prior to joining Nissan in 2012, she worked at printing company, Lexmark, petrochemical conglomerate, Reliance and diversified power management company, Eaton in various leadership roles in Communications and Marketing.
