Communications veteran Mrinall Dey has launched Brevanta Communications, marking his transition into entrepreneurship after nearly three decades in journalism, corporate communications, public affairs, and agency leadership.

Dey brings over 25 years of experience across journalism, corporate affairs, crisis management, IPO communications, policy advocacy, and brand storytelling. After stepping down as Vice President & Head – PR & Corporate Communications at MobiKwik in April 2025, Dey took a brief professional break to shape his vision for an independent communications advisory. The result is Brevanta Communications, a consultancy he co-founded with Suman Nath to provide senior-level strategic communications counsel directly to founders, CXOs, boards, and chief communications officers.

He announced the launch on LinkedIn.

Before launching his entrepreneurial venture, Dey served as Vice President & Head – PR & Corporate Communications at MobiKwik, leading the company's strategic communications, corporate reputation, and crisis management efforts. His career also includes leadership roles at BYJU'S, Weber Shandwick, American Express Banking Corp and others.

Over the course of his career, Dey has worked across journalism, corporate communications, public affairs, crisis communications, and media strategy, advising organizations through business transformations, reputation challenges, and high-impact corporate milestones. His new venture seeks to bring that experience directly to business leaders, focusing on strategic reputation advisory and corporate storytelling.
