Sunil Kumaran has been appointed as Director-Strategic Initiatives at Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India Group), according to an update on his LinkedIn profile. He assumed the role in December 2025.
Kumaran brings over 25 years of experience across broadcast, advertising, and digital platforms.
Before joining Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd., Kumaran most recently served as Chief Executive Officer at Reliance Broadcast Network Limited (RBNL), following his tenure as Chief Operating Officer from April 2022 to July 2025. Prior to these roles, he was Country Head of THWINK. In an earlier stint at RBNL, from 2008 to 2015, he served as Business Head.
Earlier in his career, Kumaran also held roles at leading agencies and media organisations, including The StoryLab-Dentsu Aegis Network, Universal McCann, Rediffusion DY&R, indya.com, Lowe and Partners Worldwide, JWT, and Saatchi & Saatchi.
