Hindustan Pencils has announced the appointment of Aishwarya Shinod as its Head of Marketing. In this role, she will oversee brand and marketing efforts across the company’s portfolio, with a clear focus on strengthening consumer connect and making the brand more relevant to younger audiences.
Aishwarya brings nearly 20 years of experience in building strong consumer brands. She has previously held senior roles at companies such as Unilever, Nestlé, Kellogg’s and Freudenberg Gala Household Products. Her experience spans brand building, integrated marketing, innovation and storytelling, all driven by a deep understanding of consumer needs.
Speaking about her new role, Aishwarya said that joining Hindustan Pencils is special, as the brand is closely linked to the school memories of millions of Indians. She added that she looks forward to building on this rich legacy while shaping its appeal for the next generation through insight-led marketing, stronger emotional connections and innovative brand thinking.
In her earlier roles, Aishwarya has led several successful and award-winning brand initiatives, including the relaunch of Pepsodent across South Asia at Unilever and the popular #WhyJustCleanHome campaign at Gala. She has also served on the juries of leading industry awards such as the EFFIEs, EMVIEs and the Indian Content Marketing Awards, and is widely recognised for her strategic approach and clear thinking in marketing.
