Media professional Sahar Zaman has joined the board of CJ International Hotels Limited, the company that owns and operates Le Méridien New Delhi, as an Independent Director, effective October 1, 2026.
Zaman brings more than two decades of experience across journalism, communications, arts and the wider creative economy.
Zaman is the Founder Director of Hunar TV, an arts-focused digital platform, and has built a career spanning television journalism, news production, cultural storytelling and arts curation. Her professional experience includes leadership and editorial roles across prominent news and media organisations, along with work at the intersection of culture, public discourse and creative industries.
Her journalism career has included roles as a prime-time anchor and editor, while her work in the arts has seen her curate exhibitions and develop platforms focused on Indian art and culture. She has also written extensively on cultural figures and authored Talat Mahmood: The Definitive Biography.
More recently, Zaman has expanded her work into communications strategy and the creative economy, while continuing to engage with journalism, culture and public-interest issues. Her professional profile also reflects a growing focus on corporate governance, including completion of the Independent Directors' Certificate programme of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.
