- Mohit Jain has been elected Chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for the year 2026-27, marking Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd.'s return to the chairmanship after 43 years.
- Jain brings over 20 years of experience in the print media industry, having held various senior leadership roles and previously served as President of the Indian Newspaper Society.
- Vikram Sakhuja, Partner and Director at Madison World, has been elected as Deputy Chairman of ABC for the same term.
- The Bureau's Council of Management for 2026-27 includes representatives from various publishing and advertising agencies, along with advertisers, reflecting a diverse leadership structure.
Mohit Jain, Chief Operating Officer (Publishing) and Board Member of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (BCCL), has been unanimously elected Chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for the year 2026-27.
His election marks BCCL's return to the chairmanship of ABC, 43 years after its previous representative held the position.
With over 2 decades of experience in the print media industry, he has held senior leadership roles across publishing, business operations and industry affairs. He brings to ABC extensive sectoral experience and a strong understanding of the issues shaping the future of print media, circulation and publishing.
At BCCL, Mohit Jain has played an important role in advancing the organisation's publishing and business operations. Before joining BCCL, he was part of the India management team at GSK Consumer Healthcare. He holds an MBA and a degree in Chemical Engineering.
He has also held several significant positions in industry bodies. He served as President of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) during 2021-22 and has been associated with its Board for more than 2 decades. INS is the apex organisation representing newspapers, magazines and periodicals in India, and plays an important role in strengthening the interests of the print media industry.
He previously served for 3 years on the Global Supervisory Board of the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) and is currently Vice President of the South Asia Division Board of the International News Media Association (INMA). He is also Chair of the Media Committee of PHDCCI, Chair of the News, Print & Publishing Subcommittee of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and a member of the Media & Entertainment Committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).
