Masooma Sandeep named Head of Communications, TURMECA at Medtronic

Masooma Sandeep has taken on the role of Head of Communications for TURMECA Region-led Markets at Medtronic, overseeing communications across Türkiye, the Middle East and Central Asia.

The move marks a new chapter in Sandeep’s more than 25-year career spanning communications, marketing, strategy and corporate affairs. She will be based in Dubai as she takes on the regional mandate.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Sandeep said, “I'm starting again... but not from scratch!

After an incredibly rewarding chapter leading Communications for Strategic Marketing Enterprise (SME), EurAsia, I'm excited to begin a new journey as Head of Communications for TURMECA Region-led Markets (Türkiye, Middle East & Central Asia) at Medtronic

This transition is more than a new role. It's an opportunity to build on years of learning, collaboration, and growth while exploring the incredible diversity, talent, and potential of this dynamic region.

Sandeep has been with Medtronic for over six years, moving through several senior communications leadership roles across geographies and business segments.

Before taking up the TURMECA mandate, she served as Director - Communications, Strategic Marketing Enterprise, EurAsia, a role she held from November 2025. Prior to that, she was Director - Communications, Asia, from December 2022 to November 2025.

Her earlier roles at Medtronic included Director - Communications, India & Emerging Markets, covering IndoChina, Frontier Markets and Thailand, and Director - Communications and Corporate Marketing.

Sandeep's career also includes a decade-long stint at BASF, Diebold Systems, and others. With her new mandate, Sandeep will bring experience across communications, marketing and business strategy to a region spanning three diverse markets, as she relocates to Dubai for the role.
