Ravi Mayank, Executive Vice President and National Head – Karnataka and Tamil Cluster at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), has stepped down from his position, exchange4media has learnt.

Mayank’s departure brings to a close an association of more than 22 years with the company. He joined the Essel Group in 2003 as a Group Management Trainee and subsequently held several leadership roles across marketing, brand solutions, key account management and advertising sales.

In his most recent role, Mayank was responsible for driving the sales function for Zee’s southern regional portfolio across television, OTT and social platforms, covering both corporate and retail markets. Earlier, he served as National Head – Brand Solutions and led the company’s relationship with Hindustan Unilever Limited.

During his long tenure at Zee, Mayank worked at the intersection of content, brand strategy and partnerships, contributing to the development of integrated advertising solutions and revenue initiatives. He was also associated with Zee’s Kannada general entertainment and movie portfolio, helping create customised solutions for advertisers across platforms.

Mayank began his career with Essel Corporate Management Services, where he assisted the senior management in developing and implementing key projects across group companies. He later worked in marketing at Essel Group Corporate Services and served as the brand custodian for the Zee Cine Awards, overseeing promotions across print, outdoor and on-ground activations.
