Rajesh Kaul to be appointed the Chief Revenue Officer of Sony Pictures Networks India in addition to his current portfolio of sports and international business.
Kaul, who has been SPN since 2008, was also Head of Sports Business and led the acquisition of marquee sports properties for the network.
Kaul began his career with ICI Paints and thereon moved on to Modi Entertainment Network. He joined ESPN Star Sports in 1997 and sharpened his leadership skills at the organization for over 11 years.
He played a vital role in creating the success story of ESPN Star Sports, heading their distribution and marketing nationally, and was credited with the launch of Star Cricket.
As part of this leadership transition, Makrand Palekar will be the Business Head of Distribution.
Akshay Agrawal will be the Business Head of liner ad sales. The position was earlier held by Sandeep Mehrotra.
Agrawal will report to Rajesh Kaul along with five other ad sales executives.
Manish Aggarwal will be Head of YouTube and Content Monetisation.
Ranjana Mangla to be Sales Head of Sony LIV.
