Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has promoted Akshay Agrawal to the role of Head – Linear Ad Sales. In his new position, he will focus on increasing revenue, strengthening relationships with advertisers, and offering data-driven advertising solutions that deliver clear business results. He will report to Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer and Business Head – Sports and International at SPNI.

Agrawal has been associated with SPNI for over 22 years and brings extensive experience across the media and entertainment industry. Known for his problem-solving mindset, he has consistently worked closely with brands to design customised advertising partnerships that address real business needs.

During his career, he has managed and monetised several large content portfolios, including sports, movies, free-to-air channels, and leading Hindi general entertainment channels. His leadership has helped combine long-term strategy with strong commercial performance.

Commenting on the appointment, Rajesh Kaul said that Agrawal’s deep understanding of the advertising landscape and his ability to deliver sustained results have played a key role in the growth of the linear ad sales business. He added that Agrawal’s leadership will further strengthen SPNI’s linear television offerings and create greater value for partners.
