Senior media professional Priyadarshan Garg has been appointed the Business Head of India Digital Publishing Limited (IDPL). The appointment marks an expansion of Garg’s current responsibilities, as he continues to lead Pinewz, Zee Media’s hyperlocal news platform.
Garg steps into the role following the departure of Sushant S. Mohan, who recently stepped down as Business Head of IDPL.
With more than 20 years of experience, Garg has held several leadership positions in the industry. He joined Pinewz in April 2025 as Chief Business Officer. Prior to this, Garg served as Vice President (News) at ZEE5, where he led digital content innovation, viewer engagement, and strategic campaigns. His experience also includes a leadership role at UC Browser.
In addition to his digital credentials, Garg has worked extensively in the radio industry. He served as National Content Head at My FM. He has also worked with Dainik Bhaskar in Indore and at Aaj Tak in Mumbai as a Principal Correspondent.
