Preeti Sahni has stepped down from her role as Chief Executive Officer of Fortune India and OPEN Media at the RP–Sanjiv Goenka Group and is set to join TV9 Network in a senior leadership role next week, according to sources familiar with the development. We at e4m attempted to get a confirmation from both Preeti Sahni and the top management at TV9 but could not get comments or confirmations on this development.
 
Sahni was appointed CEO of Fortune India and OPEN Media in January 2024, with the mandate to strengthen the editorial-business alignment of the two legacy brands and drive their next phase of growth across print and digital platforms. During her tenure, she focused on sharpening brand positioning and navigating the publications through a highly competitive and rapidly evolving media landscape.
 
Prior to joining the RP–Sanjiv Goenka Group, Sahni spent over seven years at Network18 Media & Investments Limited, where she held dual responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer of Forbes India and Senior Vice President – International Business. In these roles, she was instrumental in managing global alliances, scaling premium business verticals, and strengthening the Forbes India franchise in a competitive market.
 
Sahni’s career spans nearly two decades across India’s leading media organisations. She has previously served as National Vertical Head – International & Luxury at The Times Group, and as Product Head for India Today English and Luxury Business at India Today Group, where she played a key role in building luxury and high-end advertiser ecosystems. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Hindustan Times, and also worked briefly as a Senior Business Consultant at Oracle.
