Shilpa Shetty, Vivek Makker to step down from NDTV revenue roles

Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Makker are exiting NDTV, sources close to the development confirmed.
The next move of both executives is not known yet.
Shetty is currently serving as National Revenue Head – NDTV Profit, a role she took up in October 2025. In her current position, she has been heading display sales, brand integrations, partnerships and new business development.
Before joining NDTV, Shetty was National Head – Revenue at Times Network between April 2022 and October 2025. She led display sales for ET NOW and ET NOW Swadesh, along with national revenue responsibilities. Earlier, she was National Revenue Head – Business News Cluster at TV18 Broadcast Limited (Network18), where she managed national revenues across business channels including CNBC TV18 and CNBC Awaaz.
Shetty has also served as Board Advisor to the Council at the Indian Influencer Governing Council from February 2025 to October 2025.
Makker, who is currently National Revenue Head – NDTV India since September 2025, is also set to exit. He previously served as Executive Vice President at News Nation between August 2022 and September 2025.
Makker spent nearly a decade at NDTV earlier as National Head – NDTV India, from December 2012 to August 2022. Prior to that, he worked as Regional Head at Star India Pvt. Ltd. between February 2011 and November 2012. He also had a brief stint as National Revenue Head at JSL Media between November 2010 and February 2011, where he headed the revenue function for the outdoor division of the Jindal Group.
NDTV has not yet made an official announcement on the exits.
