Kiran Desai, Vice President - India General Counsel at Netflix, has decided to move on after seven years.
He announced his departure through a LinkedIn post, reflecting on his journey at the streaming giant and expressing excitement for the next phase of his career.
Desai said that building and leading Netflix India's Legal & Business Affairs function from the ground up has been one of the most rewarding chapters of his professional life. During his tenure, he worked closely with colleagues across the globe and partnered with filmmakers and storytellers as India's streaming industry witnessed rapid growth.
In this role, he led Business Affairs, Public Policy and Regulatory, Product & Corporate Legal.
“After an incredible 7 years at Netflix, I've decided it's time to turn the page and step into a new chapter. I'm deeply grateful for the experiences that have shaped me here. To everyone who trusted me along the way - thank you! To my fabulous team - thank you! I'm energized about what's next”, he said in his LinkedIn post.
