Kangwook Lee announced on LinkedIn that he has joined KRAFTON Inc. as the company’s first Chief AI Officer (CAIO).
Lee, who had been Head of the Deep Learning Division at KRAFTON since April 2022, will lead the company’s AI research and development efforts, focusing on applications in gaming.
Lee mentioned in his post: “In addition to making KRAFTON AI the best AI x Gaming organization, for longer-term goals, we are committed to conducting world-class R&D in physical AI, leveraging the intersection between the gaming and AI technology we have and physical AI.”
In his new role, Lee will oversee initiatives to advance AI for gaming experiences and game development, including upcoming projects such as PUBG Ally. He will also guide longer-term research in physical AI through KRAFTON’s new venture, Ludo Robotics, where he will serve as Chief Technology Officer.
