Amar Sinha, who recently stepped down as Chief Operating Officer of Radico Khaitan Limited, is likely to take on a senior leadership role at Allied Blenders & Distillers Ltd., though sources indicate that discussions are still ongoing and no final decision has been made yet.

According to industry sources familiar with the development, Allied Blenders has emerged as one of the leading contenders for Sinha’s next professional assignment. However, people close to the matter say the veteran industry executive is currently evaluating multiple opportunities before making a final commitment.

Sinha submitted his resignation from Radico Khaitan citing personal reasons. In his resignation letter, he stated, “I hereby tender my resignation from the position of Chief Operating Officer of Radico Khaitan Limited due to personal reasons. I would like to be relieved from my responsibilities by 31 March, 2026.”

He joined Radico Khaitan in March 2017 as Chief Operating Officer and played a significant role in strengthening the company’s operational and strategic capabilities during his tenure.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Sinha is regarded as one of the most experienced leaders in India’s alco-beverage and consumer businesses. He began his professional journey in 1983 as a management trainee with the consumer products division of Shaw Wallace Distilleries, eventually rising to become Managing Director and CEO.

Over the years, he has held several prominent leadership roles, including Managing Director of Whyte & Mackay India Ltd., Executive Director & CEO of BDA—now Allied Blenders & Distillers Ltd.—and Director & CEO of Golden Tobacco Ltd. He also served as Managing Director of Playwin under the Zee Group and held senior positions at Herbertsons Ltd. (UB Group) and SmithKline Beecham.

Beyond operational leadership, Sinha has also served on the advisory board of the S&D Group, one of Asia’s largest gaming and lotteries companies, with interests spanning real estate, information technology and e-commerce.

Some sources have pointed out that Alok Gupta of Allied Blenders is likely to move on to Radico Khaitan, though this news is not yet confirmed.
