  • JK Tyre & Industries has appointed Mandar Deo as the new President for India.
  • Deo, 50, holds a mechanical engineering degree from Pune University, a master's degree and PhD from Pennsylvania State University, and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
  • Prior to joining JK Tyre, he was the Managing Director and CEO of Exide Energy Solutions Limited and has extensive experience from nearly two decades at Cummins India and Cummins Inc. in various leadership roles.

JK Tyre & Industries has named Mandar Deo as its new President – India.

Mandar Vighnahari Deo, 50, is a mechanical engineering graduate from Pune University. He also holds a master’s degree and PhD from Pennsylvania State University, along with an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Before joining JK Tyre, Deo was serving as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Exide Energy Solutions Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Exide Industries.

Earlier in his career, he spent nearly two decades with Cummins India and Cummins Inc., handling several leadership positions across different business divisions. During his tenure, he led operations in manufacturing, sales, technical centres, and marketing, while also managing profit and loss responsibilities. He additionally served as a Board Director at Cummins Generator Technologies and worked in global leadership roles in the United States.

In his new role at JK Tyre, Deo will report directly to Chairman and Managing Director Raghupati Singhania.

Welcoming the appointment, Singhania said he believes Deo’s leadership and experience will help drive the company’s future growth and strengthen its market position.
