He was with the company for three years, building the FMCG major's global media function across multiple markets.
Chhabra will be joining Sony Pictures as Head - Strategy & New Business.
In a LinkedIn post, the executive reflected on the journey of establishing a global media capability spanning India, Indonesia, Africa, Latin America and the US.
Thanking GCPL Chairperson Nisa Godrej and CEO Sudhir Sitapati, the executive credited the company's leadership for fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation and consumer-centric thinking.
During the three-year stint, the media function expanded its capabilities across commerce media, influencer marketing, media in-housing and technology-led media operations. Among the key initiatives highlighted were launching products on TikTok Shop, building a scalable influencer marketing ecosystem and strengthening media capabilities across global markets.
The executive also acknowledged the support of GCPL's country leadership, marketing teams, business transformation, finance, audit and HR functions, as well as agency partners including WPP Media, Madison and Dentsu.
Reflecting on the tenure, the executive said the most rewarding achievement was building a high-performing media team capable of driving the company's future growth.
"As I say goodbye, I leave with immense gratitude—for the opportunities, the friendships, the lessons, and the belief that together we created something meaningful," the executive wrote.
