- Bhat has been a member of Trent's board since April 2014 and has a long history with the Tata Group, having joined in 1987.
- His previous roles include Managing Director of Tata Global Beverages Ltd. and Chief Operating Officer of Titan Company's Watches and Jewellery Businesses, among others; he currently serves on the boards of Tata Starbucks Private Limited and Infiniti Retail Limited.
Harish Bhat has resigned as Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director of Trent Limited, with effect from 17 October 2026, citing growing professional and personal commitments.
In his resignation letter addressed to Trent Chairman Noel N. Tata, Bhat said it had been a pleasure and privilege to serve on the company's board for several years and participate in its deliberations.
“Thank you very much for the opportunity that the Board and you have provided me, to contribute to the governance and strategic directions of the Company,” Bhat wrote in his resignation letter.
Trent informed both stock exchanges of Bhat’s resignation through a filing dated October 18.
Bhat has been on Trent’s board since April 2014. He previously served as Brand Custodian at Tata Sons and joined the Tata Group in 1987 as an officer in the Tata Administrative Service.
During his career with the Tata Group, he has held several senior leadership roles. These include stints as Managing Director of Tata Global Beverages Ltd., Chief Operating Officer of the Watches and Jewellery Businesses of Titan Company Ltd., and the Telecom business of the Group.
Bhat also serves as a director at Tata Starbucks Private Limited and Infiniti Retail Limited.
