GroupM UK Chairman Mark Collins has announced retirement after being in the industry for 44 years. Collins made this announcement via a LinkedIn post. He was associated with GroupM for over 30 years.

Remembering his remarkable journey at MediaCom and GroupM, Collins said that he was on a continual learning curve and expressed gratitude for the same.

“After 44 years in the industry, the time has come for me to hang up my boots. There have been many highlights during my career including my time at TMB where I first met and worked with a group of people that were top of their game and have become lifelong friends”, he stated in his LinkedIn post.

Mark Collins was part of the original management team that created GroupM UK in 2006, when as Managing Director of Broadcast Trading he was ultimately responsible for all GroupM trading across the portfolio of WPP Media Agencies within the broadcast arena.

Prior to this, he had built a vast amount of experience beginning as Media Planner/Buyer at FCB in 1983 culminating in the position of Broadcast Director at MediaCom in 1997.
