Ravi Krishnan, Editor-in-Chief of HT Mint, is set to move out of the organisation, according to sources at HT Media.
Krishnan will continue to work with HT Media through a three-month transition period to ensure a smooth handover, sources said. His exit is understood to be driven by personal reasons, with Krishnan planning to relocate to Chennai.
Krishnan took over as the Editor-in-Chief of HT Mint in September 2023 and has been based in New Delhi. Prior to this, he spent over five years at Moneycontrol as Deputy Executive Editor, where he oversaw the opinion section and was part of the start-up team that helped launch new editorial initiatives on the platform.
Before joining Moneycontrol, Krishnan had a long stint at HT Mint spanning more than a decade. His roles at Mint included Assistant Managing Editor and Mumbai Bureau Chief, where he oversaw newsroom operations and led the publication’s coverage from Mumbai. He also served as Associate Editor, working with PlainFacts, Mint’s data journalism unit focused on number-driven storytelling.
Over the years, Krishnan has held several leadership positions within the Mint newsroom, contributing to its evolution as a leading business and financial daily.
