Diwakar Chandani, a seasoned digital and media executive with nearly two decades of experience across platform, broadcast and digital businesses, is set to take on a senior leadership role at Publicis Groupe, according to industry sources.

Chandani currently serves in Media and Creator Partnerships at Meta. He has been associated with the vertical since July 2017. Over an eight-year stint at the social media major, he has worked closely with media companies and creators, driving strategic partnerships and platform growth across the ecosystem.

Prior to Meta, Chandani was Associate Director, India Business, at LeEco between June 2016 and March 2017. In this role, he led the India launch of LeEco’s entertainment services, overseeing product roadmap and market rollout during the company’s expansion phase in the country.

Earlier, he served as Associate Vice President, Digital at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited from April 2014 to May 2016. There, he was responsible for product strategy, content and business development, playing a key role in strengthening Zee’s digital footprint at a time when broadcasters were accelerating their shift online.

Before that, Chandani was Head of Content, Product & Marketing at Network18 Media & Investments Limited from March 2011 to March 2014. He ran the network’s digital business, overseeing content strategy, product development and marketing initiatives across its portfolio.

He began his entrepreneurial journey as a founding member of mypopkorn at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited in 2007, contributing to one of the early youth-focused digital content initiatives in India.

With experience spanning digital transformation, platform partnerships, product strategy and media monetisation, Chandani’s move to Publicis is expected to bolster the network’s digital and platform-led capabilities in India.

An official announcement is awaited yet.
