B9 Beverages founder Ankur Jain has stepped down from the company's board and agreed to relinquish all executive powers and ownership as part of a settlement to resolve a two-year dispute with the Bira 91 maker's institutional investors and lenders.

Jain has put up a social media post to announce the same.

“We have now reached that settlement. As part of it, my family and I will be stepping away from the board, and from our executive positions with immediate effect. Both sides have agreed to withdraw all claims and litigation against each other, and the personal guarantees I gave over the years, for corporate loans to keep this company alive, will be released. It is, in every sense, a clean and full close of this chapter,” he wrote.

As per news reports, B9 Beverages' investors include Peak XV Partners and Japan's Kirin Holdings.

The brewer has taken loans from lenders like Anicut Capital and Hero Corporate Services' family office.

The two parties have also agreed to drop all legal proceedings initiated against each other, reports said.
