After more than two decades with Apollo Tyres, Gaurav Kumar is set to leave the company, stepping down as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) with effect from the close of business hours on October 6, 2026.
Kumar has stepped down to explore new personal and professional opportunities outside the company. In his resignation letter, he stated that there was no other material reason behind his decision to leave.
The development follows Kumar’s communication to Apollo Tyres dated August 6, 2026, which was referenced in the company’s latest filing while formally recording his cessation as CFO and KMP.
The company has not disclosed a successor or outlined any interim arrangement for the CFO position.
Kumar’s exit marks the end of a more than two-decade association with Apollo Tyres. He joined the company in 2004 and held various roles across corporate strategy and finance before taking on the CFO and Whole-time Director positions.
During his tenure as CFO, Kumar oversaw financial management and played a role in strategic initiatives, including growth projects, mergers and acquisitions, long-term financing and investor relations.
Kumar has also stepped down from Apollo Tyres’ Risk Management Committee. His resignation as Whole-time Director took effect at the close of business hours on August 6, 2026.
In his resignation letter, Kumar expressed his appreciation to the company’s board and senior management for their support during his association with Apollo Tyres.
