Amar Sinha today took charge as the Managing Director (MD) of Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABDL), the company informed the BSE. He joins ABDL from Radico Khaitan, where he had a successful stint as Chief Operating Officer. He stepped down from Radico Khaitan in February.

e4m was the first to report Sinha’s exit from Radico and the possibility of him joining ABDL.

Sinha joined Radico Khaitan in March 2017 as Chief Operating Officer and played a significant role in strengthening the company’s operational and strategic capabilities during his tenure. He was instrumental in steering the company’s operational strategy during a phase of expansion and premiumisation across its product portfolio. Under his leadership, Radico strengthened execution across sales, distribution, and brand operations, while sharpening its focus on higher-value categories within the spirits market.

An industry veteran with over three decades of experience in the alco-beverage and consumer sectors, Sinha has held leadership roles across multiple organisations prior to joining Radico Khaitan. Over the years, he has built a reputation for driving operational efficiency and market growth in competitive consumer businesses.

His new role at Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABDL) will be closely watched, as the company is India’s third-largest spirits player. Founded in 1988 by Kishore Chhabria, ABDL is headquartered in Mumbai.
