- Allied Blenders and Distillers (ABD) appointed Bikram Basu as Group Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer and Senior Management Personnel, effective August 1, 2026.
- Basu will maintain his oversight of ABDM while assuming his new responsibilities.
- He has nearly 30 years of experience in the alcoholic beverages industry, having worked with United Spirits, Pernod Ricard India, and ABD for the past 11 years.
- Basu has held various leadership roles in business strategy, marketing, and sales, and has been involved with the Confederation of Indian Alcoholic Beverage Companies (CIABC), serving as Vice-Chairman from 2015 to 2018.
Allied Blenders and Distillers (ABD) has appointed Bikram Basu as Group Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer and Senior Management Personnel (SMP), effective August 1, 2026.
He will continue to oversee the operations of ABDM while taking on his new responsibilities.
Basu has nearly three decades of experience in the alcoholic beverages industry. He began his career with United Spirits, where he spent six years, before moving to Pernod Ricard India for a 14-year stint. He has been associated with ABD for nearly 11 years.
During his career, Basu has held leadership positions across business and brand strategy, marketing and sales, and has been credited with driving the growth of several leading brands in the Indian market.
In addition to his corporate roles, Basu has been actively involved with the Confederation of Indian Alcoholic Beverage Companies (CIABC).
He has also served as the industry's apex body's Vice-Chairman between 2015 and 2018 and currently continues as a member of its board.
