Air India appoints former Ethiopian Airlines chief Tewolde Gebremariam as CEO & MD

Air India has appointed Tewolde Gebremariam, former CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, as its new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, succeeding Campbell Wilson.
Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran highlighted Gebremariam's proven track record in the airline industry as key to leading Air India into a new phase of execution and expansion.
Gebremariam expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to enhance Air India's legacy and aims to establish it as a premier global carrier reflecting India's economic potential.
He emphasized the importance of operational reliability, customer service, and long-term growth in his vision for the airline's future.

Air India has appointed former Ethiopian Airlines chief Tewolde Gebremariam as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD).

Gebremariam takes over from Campbell Wilson, who had been leading the airline since 2022.
