Signpost India and BBMP develop a state-of-the-art traffic surveillance booth
This inventory is self-sustainable through AdEx and a step towards making cities future-ready post COVID-19
The launch of India’s first modern dedicated Traffic Surveillance program in Bengaluru is bound to expand the network at 389 junctions in phase 1. The booth will be geared up with the automated police and public convenience services and accessories. This booth aims to generate more than 500 local employment and will work with local SME’s. This will pave the way for better connectivity and understanding to attend the international standards in OOH designs.
The active approach to innovation in the design and implementation program by the Signpost team is highly appreciated by B H Anil Kumar, IAS Commissioner, BBMP. The Signpost team brings in their expertise and has detailed each aspect in terms of facilities to digital displays. The booth will also include an anti-heat resistance fibre-reinforced industrial-grade insulated with the heat adaptive materials for the constant temperature inside the cabin to air Purifier with ventilation, anti-glare glass, first aid kit, water dispenser, equipment charger, energy-efficient lights, megaphone, the cabin’s entry/exit operate access through the app to authorized personnel only to ensure supreme security. Each access is recorded in the central control room, the features are loaded with consideration and research. BBMP believes that other metro cities shall follow the learning to implement such programs to safeguard traffic police and commuter’s convenience.
Sharing his thoughts on the launch of phase 1 of the traffic surveillance booth, Shripad Ashtekar, Director, Signpost India remarked, “We thank the Karnataka Government and agencies for their belief in us to implement the complex green-field project. The 27 plus features will value add in the life of Police personnel and commuters at large. The entire program in these trying times will generate more than 500 local employment and local SME’s as we always prefer local resources for better connect and understanding international standards in our designs and maintenance program. These monitoring booths shall be accompanied by de-attached smart static/digital panels to display commercials apart from broadcast and will transmit various public/disaster management dynamic messaging ability. The program is self-sustainable through AdEx and a step towards making the cities future-ready.”
