Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has tied the knot with journalist Nidhi Razdan in a private ceremony in New Delhi.
Announcing the news on social media, Abdullah shared a series of photographs with Nidhi on X, accompanied by the caption, “A new journey began yesterday,” along with a ring emoji. Nidhi posted the same pictures on her social media account, keeping her announcement short and casual with the words, “It's done bro,” followed by a ring emoji.
This marks a new chapter in Omar Abdullah’s personal life. He was previously married to Payal Nath in 1994, and the couple have two sons, Zahir and Zamir. Their relationship reportedly became strained, and they began living apart in 2009. While Omar remained in Jammu and Kashmir, Payal and their children continued to reside in Delhi.
After a prolonged legal dispute, the Supreme Court granted the couple a divorce in July this year, formally ending their marriage.
