Aditya Jhamb has been given the responsibility for app distribution and reach across the mobile and CTV ecosystem for JioStar. His appointment is part of the leadership reorganisation that followed the formation of a joint venture between Reliance Industries Limited, Viacom18 Media, and The Walt Disney Company.
He will directly be working with Hursh Shrivastava, who is the head of partnerships at JioStar.
Jhamb is an experienced professional with decades of rich experience in building businesses with a special focus on Business Development, Leading & Building teams and more recently running Digital Business Partnerships.
Prior to this, he was the Senior Vice President of Partnerships (Strategy, Acquisitions & BD) of the Sports Business at Viacom18 for almost two years.
During July 2021 and December 2022, he was responsible for Strategic Partnerships and
Business Development as the India and South Asia Leader for MX Player's SVOD and AVOD offering with partners across industry (Telcos, MVPDs, Broadband, OEMs, FinTech, Banks and others).
His past assignments included 6 years with Amazon heading and shaping Amazon Prime & Prime Video Partnerships, setting up their App distribution business; 9 years of Telco Product Pricing experience; 2 years of FMCG Marketing and 3 years of Advertising experience.
The joint venture, in which Reliance owns a 56% majority ownership, combines the media assets of JioCinema, Star India, and Viacom18 to create a media behemoth with a valuation of about Rs 70,352 crore (US$8.5 billion).
