HT Media Limited has put on hold its earlier decision to shut down the operations of its FM radio station Fever in Chennai, according to a regulatory filing made with the stock exchanges on December 24, 2025.

The company informed BSE and NSE that the decision to close operations of the Chennai-based station, which was earlier scheduled to take effect from December 24, 2025, has been kept in abeyance.

In its disclosure, HT Media said that HT Music and Entertainment Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, had previously surrendered the licence issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for operating the FM radio station titled ‘Fever’ in Chennai. This surrender and the proposed closure were disclosed to the exchanges on November 25, 2025.

However, the latest filing clarifies that while the licence surrender had been communicated earlier, the decision to shut down operations will not be implemented for now.

The company did not disclose the reasons behind keeping the closure decision on hold, nor did it provide a revised timeline for the station’s operations.

HT Media operates radio, print and digital media properties, including Fever FM, across multiple markets in India.
