Sivakumar Sundaram, CEO (Publishing) and Executive Director of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (BCCL) has marked an impressive 34-year-long association with the media company, filled with transformative contributions.

A distinguished figure in the Indian media industry, Sundaram is also a fellow member of Chartered Accountants and the Cost & Management Institute.

He has dedicated his entire professional career to BCCL in various leadership positions by successfully handling different roles across multiple functions and businesses.

In 2023, he was promoted to CEO of Publishing at BCCL. In his immediate previous role as Chairman, Executive Committee, he has played a crucial and commendable role in ensuring the successful resurgence of BCCL's business post-COVID.

Under his leadership, BCCL has regained profitability and market leadership reflecting his effective management and strategic decision-making abilities. Even in the face of a challenging business environment, he steered the success of BCCL. He has built a very strong leadership team, a critical factor for future business success.

Sundaram played a pivotal role in leading Response and Brand Capital (the revenue arms of the Group). He was instrumental in incubating & growing Brand Capital - a significant innovation in the global media industry, which now has assets under management of nearly US$ 2 billion and an ecosystem of 800- plus investments.

Sundaram is also a fitness enthusiast - a long-distance runner - and actively participates in marathons. His other pursuits include spirituality and Yoga.
