INS elects Vivek Gupta as President
Karan Rajendra Darda elected Deputy President, Tanmay Maheshwari- Vice President and Anant Nath- Honorary Treasurer of the Society for the year 2025-26

- The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) held its 86th Annual General Meeting via video conferencing, where new leadership for the 2025-26 term was elected.
- Vivek Gupta from Sanmarg was elected as the President, succeeding M. V. Shreyams Kumar of Mathrubhumi.
- Karan Rajendra Darda of Lokmat was appointed as Deputy President, and Tanmay Maheshwari of Amar Ujala will serve as Vice President.
- Anant Nath from Grihshobhika was named Honorary Treasurer, while Mary Paul continues as Secretary General; additional members of the Executive Committee for 2025-26 were also announced.
The Indian Newspaper Society (INS), the apex body representing publishers of newspapers, magazines, and periodicals in India, held its 86th Annual General Meeting today through video conferencing and other virtual modes.
Vivek Gupta from Sanmarg has been elected as the President of INS for the 2025–26 term. He takes over from M. V. Shreyams Kumar of Mathrubhumi.
For the same term, Karan Rajendra Darda of Lokmat has been appointed as Deputy President, while Tanmay Maheshwari of Amar Ujala will serve as Vice President. Anant Nath from Grihshobhika has been named the Honorary Treasurer.
Mary Paul continues as the Secretary General of the Society.
The INS has also announced the names of other members of its Executive Committee for the year 2025–26.
