Daily newspapers have recorded steady growth in circulation during the audit period of January–June 2025, according to the latest data released by the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC).

The average qualifying sales of daily newspapers stood at 29,744,148 copies (297.4 lakh), as compared to 28,941,876 copies (289.4 lakh) in the previous audit period of July–December 2024. This reflects an increase of 802,272 copies or 2.77%, underlining a positive trajectory for the print media sector.

The growth highlights the continued trust of readers in newspapers as a source of credible, verified, and in-depth information. The rise in circulation also reinforces print’s status as a powerful medium for both news consumption and advertising engagement as per the press statement.

Adil Kasad, Secretary General of ABC undersigned the release and noted that the figures demonstrate the strength of print in retaining and expanding its readership base in an increasingly competitive media environment.
