BCCL consolidated revenue rises over 4% YoY in FY25; PAT jumps 53%

Bennett, Coleman and Company (BCCL) reported a 4.3% year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated revenue from operations for the year ended March 31, 2025 (FY25), while profit for the year surged 53% compared to FY24, supported by a sharp decline in tax expenses.
Revenue from operations stood at Rs 10,209.33 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 9,786.44 crore in FY24. Other income rose 8.9% YoY to Rs 949.36 crore, taking total income to Rs 11,158.69 crore, up 4.7% from Rs 10,658.55 crore in FY24.
On the cost side, total expenses increased 3.0% YoY to Rs 9,581.45 crore in FY25 from Rs 9,306.06 crore in FY24.
Profit before tax (PBT) rose 2.7% YoY to Rs 1,610.00 crore from Rs 1,567.02 crore.
Total tax expense declined 32.4% YoY to Rs 316.97 crore in FY25 from Rs 468.76 crore in FY24, driven by deferred tax benefit of Rs (39.44) crore compared to deferred tax expense of Rs 156.02 crore in FY24.
Profit for the year stood at Rs 1,594.73 crore in FY25, up 53.0% from Rs 1,042.03 crore in FY24.
