Damini, Marathi Television’s first daily soap opera, is making a comeback on television with its sequel Damini 2.O.
Damini, produced by late Gautam Adhikari and Markand Adhikari under the banner of “Sri Adhikari Brothers” and directed by Smt.Kaanchan Adhikkari had completed 1500+ Episodes over a span of 9 years and achieved cult status.
Damini 2.O is being produced by Doordarshan Sahyadri Vahini and is being written and directed by Smt.Kaanchan Adhikkari herself.
On the occasion of a legacy returning after 3 decades on Indian television, media baron Markand Adhikari said: “I am very happy that Doordarshan Kendra, Mumbai has decided to take forward the legacy of Damini by producing Damini 2.O and Kaanchan is writing and directing the same.
