The News Broadcasters Federation has advised editors of media houses to refrain from using "War Breaking" as a headline, caption, or on-screen graphic.
The news body has said in its advisory that "such terminology can create unnecessary panic, misrepresent the situation, and may be construed as sensationalist or irresponsible journalism, and especially does not reflect the tone expected, during sensitive national security developments."
"Please ensure all captions and graphics are measured, factual, and in line with official information," the advisory further stated.
