PM Modi wishes Rajat Sharma on re-election as NBDA President

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Rajat Sharma on his re-election as President of the News Broadcasters and Digital Association (NBDA).

In a letter to Rajat Sharma, the PM has said: “The Association will benefit from your decades-long experience in journalism, your deep understanding of various subjects, and your credibility. Your guidance will be particularly effective in the media and digital world undergoing modern transformation.

I am confident that under your leadership, NBDA will elevate the standards of journalism to new heights and continue to play its meaningful role in the interests of society and the nation.”

Rajat Sharma has been unanimously elected as President for the 2025–2026 term. M.V. Shreyams Kumar, Managing Director of Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Co. Ltd., will serve as Vice President, and Anuradha Prasad Shukla, Chairperson and Managing Director of News24 Broadcast India Ltd., as the Honorary Treasurer, were also unanimously appointed for the term 2025-2026.

  7. Mahesh Kumar Rajaraman, Managing Director - Sun TV Network Ltd.
  8. Rohit Gopakumar Velloli, CEO, Entertainment & Digital Business & Interim Incharge TV News - The Times Group
  9. Annie Joseph continues as Secretary General.
