Adani Group looks to bring Formula 1 back to Buddh International Circuit

According to the latest media reports, the Adani Group is considering plans to bring Formula 1 racing back to the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, said Karan Adani, Managing Director of the Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd.
Speaking at the 70th Foundation Day of All India Management Association in New Delhi, Adani said he is personally involved in efforts to reintroduce the global motorsport event in India. He added that the circuit is part of a broader plan and that the country has strong potential to host major international sporting competitions. According to him, Formula 1 enjoys a considerable fan following in India.
Reports have also cited that Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently visited the Buddh International Circuit and held discussions with officials from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority about its future.
Adani, who has followed Formula 1 for over two decades, said reviving the race would offer an opportunity to showcase India’s infrastructure, hospitality and cultural heritage on a global stage.
